Karen Haldemann, RDH

My career in the dental field began at Riverwalk Dentistry in 1998.  While earning my associate degree in dental hygiene, I was hired as a dental receptionist and later received on-the- job training to chair-side assist the dentists. After graduating from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 2001, I worked in a variety of practice settings before returning to Riverwalk in 2008. My perpetual desire to learn led me to earn a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene in 2013 from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

I strive to provide evidence-based care by regularly attending continuing education courses and reading research articles. My professional affiliations include memberships with the Wisconsin Dental Association, American Dental Hygienists’ Association and Wisconsin Dental Hygienists’ Association. I have had the honor of serving on the Commission on Dental Accreditation Dental Hygiene Review Committee from 2012-2016. I also enjoy volunteering within the community, reading, gardening, cooking and yoga.
