My venture into the world of dentistry began during my senior year of high school when I enrolled in the bilingual dental assistant program at MATC. Since my graduation in 2016 I have dedicated myself to this field, working as a dental assistant for three years and as a dental technician in a lab for five years. I am passionate about continuous learning and development in all areas of dentistry, striving to provide patients with a seamless and comfortable experience at the dental office.

In my spare time, I delight in exploring the vibrant city of Milwaukee, as well as traveling to discover new culinary delights, immerse myself in diverse cultures, appreciate art, and enjoy music. Meeting new people and acquiring new skills are experiences that I cherish and eagerly seek out in both my personal and professional life.

I was born in Queens, New York, and also lived in Columbia for eight years during my childhood. I'm bilingual, in both Spanish and English. I completed my Dental Assistant program at the New York School for Medical and Dental Assistants in 2009, and moved to Wisconsin in 2015. In the summer of 2020, I had the opportunity to start working at Riverwalk Dentistry, and I'm so grateful to be able to work with such an awesome group of talented women!

Crystal is a Wisconsin native born in Milwaukee.  She has been working in the dental field for 20 yrs. Crystal’s journey into dentistry began as a dental assistant when she completed her Dental Assistant program at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) in 2002.  She learned while assisting that she wanted to continue her education and become a Dental Hygienist.  She received her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2006 from MATC.

Dr. Sofya Kats is local to Milwaukee, WI. She grew up in Bayside and attended Nicolet HS, UW-Milwaukee and Marquette University School of Dentistry. She received her DDS degree in 2007 and then completed a two year General Practice residency program in Brooklyn, NY at NY Methodist Hospital.

One summer day back in 2020, I was working as a waitress, and Dr. Angela Lueck was one of my customers. She noticed my multitasking skills and pleasant demeanor and asked if I might be willing to change career paths and work in a dental office. I dropped off my resume the following week, was hired, and have been working at Riverwalk Dentistry ever since.

Kimberly, a Wisconsin native, has been working in the dental field for over 10 years. Kimberly brings a fresh attitude and a passion for dentistry to our team.

Dr. Sawatzke developed an interest for dentistry at the young age of five. Identifying a fascination for teeth and passion for helping others helped her set out on a journey to become a dentist.  After receiving degrees in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Colorado, she moved to Wisconsin to attend Marquette University School of Dentistry and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery.  

I started in the dental field in 1984 as a dental assistant. After three years I decided that my passion for dentistry lies on the business side of things. Having the knowledge of procedures allows me the ability to confidently explain those procedures to patients and put them at ease. I have been so blessed to have been in one practice for so many years because it has allowed me to form such great bonds with so many patients and their families. I look forward to seeing them and catching up every six months!

I have been married to my husband for over 35 years. We have two beautiful daughters and two amazing son-in-laws as well. In our spare time we enjoy spending as much time with them as possible as we await future grandchildren.
